“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words”

Poetry is the heart’s art.
-Jefferson Bermudo
As for me, Poetry is the only escape I have to escape the cruelness of reality. When I am full of emotions, I just write something and later on, it will make me feel like the burden is lighter than it actually is.

I. I can be his little firefly, I’ll do anything to see happiness in his eye. I can be his little firefly, Even if it’s difficult, I’ll try. Little firefly, light up his day. Take every possible way. Little firefly, do anything to make him smile. Make him feel okay even just for a while. Little firefly is so tiny, Even so, little firefly will do anything to make him happy. Little firefly may not suffice him with enough light, But little firefly won’t let him feel alone, tonight. II. Brighten the lonely meadow, Shine as the flowers grow. Be there until his smile has been showed. Stay beside him in this dreary road. But as time passed by, Little firefly’s light started to die. She realized that it wasn’t her light that he need. That is when little firefly’s hope started to bleed. Little firefly has lost her light. Little firefly was vanquished from a fight. She did everything but now, she’ll bid her goodbye. After all, she’s just a little firefly.

I always wondered about the purpose of things, How unexpected flew as fast as at brings. Those seats to sit on, those clothes to wear on. Those questions to clue, as I’m into you. Never have I thought, What December 22 would brought. It was a man who shines as the stars do. Serendipitously, it was you. Funny, I started to feel something strange, Silly how certain situation have changed. You were there when my sights are void, You were there to save me from being destroyed. Just like what happened between Cupid and Psyche, The bow of heart hit us with one unpredicted strike. As Orpheus and Eurydice’s story lies, The tone of your voice melt the frost in my eyes. Questions do rage inside my mind, What if it is my worth that you can’t find? Fear and worry wrapped around my heart, What if us were supposed to be apart? You are my greatest risk, And I will take every chances and wouldn’t miss. It is you who makes me feel happy and blessed. Let us now be together, my answer is “YES”.

For months, I shed a countless tear. I cried at night as I woke up by fear. Worry that tomorrow, your absence will feel. Setting aside the fact that I, myself needs to heal. For weeks, I hope that once again you'll come near. Chances are uncertain and yet my faith is clear. I want you back, I know I do. If love is true, I'm sure it was you. For days, I asked myself a lot of question. To what extent do I willing to risk for this affection? Until when do I willing to wait for this man? But then again, it was you so I'll do everything I can. At this hour, I finally got the answer for those interrogation. Pain do stabbed my heart as I ache for the situation. For the past hour, I asked for a sign. And it does told me that you can never be mine. Now I know what excruciating is, I tried so hard for the sign for me to miss. Hence, destiny plays as a hindrance. By that, I know how it doesn't want to give us a chance. Tonight, I'm swiftly loosing my grip. I stood there, determined as I'm no longer being whipped. I walk away, getting rid of all the feelings as I take my leave. Rapidly accepting that it wasn't a fairytale like what I've believed. This piece would probably be the last one, I'll end this poem as my hopes are done. It may be hard and I might ask how, But love, I'm letting our memories go now.

How could I possibly stay awake? Despite knowing what horrors await me. In this life full of lies and despair, Where the only hope that remains, Is having you near me. And yet, However I push myself towards you, The more I feel like we’re never meant to be, The more we try to reach each other, The more I feel so alone. How could I possibly live my happily ever after Without you by my side Where even the fairy tales pale in comparison for how much I feel for you. When will He finish this chapter? Does it even end? Surely, any end is better than a one left hanging For a simple No, might simply be the best answer Rather than to face the agony of waiting and fear of the unknown.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
